Echinacea:
This has cicatrising, tonic and anti-stretch mark properties. Echinacea
was used by the American Indians to heal wounds; this led to the
widespread use of tinctures and extracts that are known today as valid
cicatrizants. Apart from the undisputed results obtained, Echinacea has
quite a complex action, which is still being studied. Nevertheless it does
seem that the active principle of Echinacea slows the spread of pathogenic
germs in tissue, or triggers a mechanism of defence against the above
germs and at the same time activates mechanisms that regenerate the
tissue. |
