Tarchonanthus Camphoratus: This plant grows in East Africa. The local people have used it to cure irritations, pains and even gastritis. A study was done on its use in sports based on the tradition of the Masai tribes in Kenya: before venturing on a journey into the savannah (dozens of kilometres always on the run) they put two Tarchonanthus twigs under their armpits so they won't suffer from fatigue, also avoiding swelling of the legs. Its action reduces muscular irritation caused by lactic acid; this is produced during continued effort, and makes it possible to obtain a higher performance than average without any negative consequences. It has a notable action on muscular tone and on cellular oxygenation, while diminishing cramp caused by fatigue.


Devil's claw: This plant, the botanical name of which is Harpagophytum procumbens, grows in Southern Africa and was discovered in 1700 by European missionaries. Its many properties were only discovered later however in 1904 in South Africa. A wounded native was saved by the local witch doctor thanks to a mysterious plant. A German farmer, Mehert, followed the traces of the witch doctor, and identified the plant so European herbalists and doctors could study it. Today Devil's Claw is well known for its notable diuretic, anti-inflammatory, decongestant and analgesic properties.


Alpine Arnica: The classic and modern use together. The most acknowledged and sure use is against ecchymosis following a bruise or sprain, helping the excess liquids to be re-absorbed. Another known effect for external use is in to cure hyperaemia and heat stroke, where its derivatives are used in creams, lotions and preparations to cure rheumatism and arthritis.
